my translation is completed! in the zone. Bertrand: the files for the levels 4, 6 and 7 have been corrected so if you already used the ones in my past zip files, you'll have to update them.
i decided not to translate the credits file, for the reasons up in this thread.

forgot to mention, i'm fairly confident on the levels and main dialogue files respecting sizes, not so on the eob2.it, that needs to be checked;
also to the other translators:
in the same english file, eob2."yourlanguage" in the end of the item list, there were:
-tropelet seed, a red gem used to make "grow" a teleporter: there is some meaning to the word "tropelet"?
-bauble, ? i don't remember what this one was in game: i translated it with "chincaglieria", for now, wich translates roughly as "bijoux", cheap jewelry;
-the shall rejoice, beats me, what is this? it reminds me of "the monster rejoices" that was written on back at DOS when you died in EoB1, and vaguely reminds me of dome coin at the end of the game, but i'm not sure. any help?
how did you translate these words like?

No idea, i have a better knowledge of EOB1 :-)

have somebody more information about it?

EOB2.IT file is not provided in your last package in TheZone, i think you are translating it...

LOOOL Marco, tropelet seed is the reverse formula for TELEPORT seed ^^ !

TELEPORT -> TROPELET
bauble means BABIOLE in french, a cheap jewel ^^
they shall rejoice -> ils vont se réjouir

locatisation don't work because only will ECS version normally, but you can force a language using file:
EOB2.language & EOB1.language

the file must contain 2 characters:
IT
DE
FR
PO
GB

folowing you language selection :-)

ps:

i will compile you Italian newfile today :-)

i'll put myself to work on it mate, thanks :-)

about the whdload + language: but the file you mention has already the IT written in, and i'm sure because i've changed the two letters from PO (which was in the file downloaded) to IT myself, but with no change, both display english: am i doing something wrong? i know the ECS version works ok with localization...

Bertrand, have you chased any lenght error in all the files or this one is just one of them? in other words, can you refresh me the number of letters allowed in the different places?

ok, tomorrow i'll fix it, tonite i wanna play EoB 1 :-)
just so that you know, i'm stupid: i have fixed the problem with the translation not appearing in the game, simply a file was bad named. so no problem in your work.

that reminds me there are a couple of bug in my translation and i want to redo the HP/FOOD graphic as it is ugly now. besides there is also a problem with the name lenght of the character's profession: for instance "guerriero", warrior, 9 letters, is all ok and fine as long as the characters would go over the 999.999 exp points, at which the 2 texts would overlap. so 8 letters would be the maximum for EVERY language translation. i guess i'll have to try and see...

-EOB1- AGA ITA WHD
I've played it to the end, there are still some typos and some improveable translations.
what i could do myself (eob.it) i've already done and it is in the zip here, but i need some updated asm for the levels and the main dialogue, can you send them please? after that i can consider that a final version.

also, i've played the last part of it with a clean workbench 3.1 install, A1200, AGA chipset 68020, no JIT (so no scalos here) and there were still the usual graphic glitches. at this point i believe it is not a workbench problem but i don't know what else it could be.

when i killed the beholder with the wand of sylvias there was the piece of dialogue closing with an english part that i don't know where from it comes: "the names of the warriors who have won the beholder are..." or something like this. beneath the rooster, there was this: "password:0001" what it does refers to?
finally, after clicking on this dialogue, which, i remind you, is dysplayed like the "letter of commission and marque", i mean like a letter on the game screen, right where the outro shoul commence, the game exit to workbench, "illegal instruction etc."

i bow to your memory, and you were right about it. i''l llok for it in the text to translate it. just i would like to know what that's for, i really do.
trust me, i've left in my translation some typo worse than "nanico" :-)
hopefully this time i should fix what remains. it would be helpful if some italian guy other than me would play the games, now in particular EoB2 tough, can you have a quick run of it?

for those for Eob2, you'll have to wait for the next year. :-)

also i've noticed that in level 10 (mantis level) in the room with 2 portals, there is a pink dot (hidden button) on the map close to one of them portals, but there is no real button in the game.

however, before to release the next version, can i OFFICIALLY ask some italian guy here to test the game? c'mon guys don't be lazy! :-)
