I do recognize that image you put up-I believe I have played it, my dad still has all our old Amiga stuff and tons of burned games on floppies. If I can get him to dig it out, I'll check it out
:-)

So just in case, thank you guys for taking the time to register and give suggestions (even though as Akira said those are discarded) and welcome to EAB. I hope you enjoy your stay.
Sure I am blunt, but those games listed were already in the list of discarded items. it's not worth peoples time to go through these :/
What I am trying to clarify now is that someone had posted pictures from a computer version and the disk image is not appearing. This is stressful! The guy who posted that list posted these screens and not the disk image of the game where he took the screens from. I am asking him to PLEASE post the disk image if the game that created those screenshots. It is exactly what I am looking for so if the image is posted he got himself a mighty reward.

Sorry to disappoint Akira, but I'm pretty sure it's
not the Tetris you are after, unless you really have confused it with the arcade version over the years and misremembered what it was like.... A minute's googling shows Mirrorsoft got the official Tetris licence apparently, and published the game in 1987. It's on HoL here;
http://hol.abime.net/1358
And it can be downloaded as an .adf here...
http://www.thegamearchives.com/?val=..._59363_0_0_0_0
Or as a WHD Install here;
http://www.whdownload.com/games.php?...hButton=Search
It works under the default A500 settings in WinUAE and I'm sorry to say, there's not only no little men popping out, but it's a really poo conversion, sorry!

As for the image, it was an Arcade game. It was ran off a MAME emulator. Sorry, just got back home so couldn't post this earlier. Ill post the image anyway though, if you want to check it out. Hopefully this helps.

Have you tried Power Tetris? I doubt it's what you're looking for since it doesn't look much like the atari version, but you can at least add it to the junk list.

I did not find your game yet!!
But, sure like to know more about this other very rare Spectrum Holobyte's Tetris.
I read somewhere that this game has at least one other version is very rare!!
Anyone can shed light to this other mystery?
cheers,

blah ... that "second SH version" might be just another urban legend. Chances are it is...
niobyte 21:56 16 October 2010
@VCNW,
You had read that off the HOL Entry 'Tetris (Infrogrames/Spectrum HoloByte)'
http://hol.abime.net/1359
What the
'One version is common, at least one other version is rare' means is that the
European version was more widely available (more common) which was distributed by
Infogrames.
The
Spectrum Holobyte version was mainly for the
US Market. I have the
US Spectrum Holobyte version including its manual. There is not much difference between the
Infogrames and the
Spectrum Holobyte release. Main difference is the date between the versions being released.
I also provided a diskscan of the
Spectrum Holobyte release (3rd Diskscan).
I have noticed the 1st diskscan which is another
Spectrum Holobyte one. Most likely difference with that would be the version number, that is all.

Dude I am totally not a retard. MAME did not exist back in 1990/91 or whenever I saw this game.
I think it's fair to close this thread now. I give up until I find video evidence of what I have seen and I don't want to hear any suggestions like the above one anymore.
