I am upping to the net some BBS archives as some requested.

THE BOILER ROOM [Dec88-Mar92] is now online!
2 GIGABYTE OF COMPRESSED FILES (DMS, WRP, TXT, LHA)

recovered from 10 abandoned tapes for A3070 SCSI drive, 3 more tapes were unreadable

but more will follow (Boondox and more!), so keep an eye on this thread.

It uses Rapidshare.com, somewhat free if you wait between each download, but as I am a premium user it was easiest for me.

Compressed with WINRAR, in chunks of 100MB, most discs are in WRP warp format

It is a big shame that although there have been some 10 or so downloads there are only 2 seeders (and me). I'm sure you know who you are. Please consider seeding this as there are still 8 downloaders.

It's basically a capture of all the files sent to that particular bbs from 1988 to 1992.

I must say to the original poster that I appreciate that he made these files available. I'll have lots of fun going through these collections.

Ah! Thanks! Very nice, that's even got links to a couple other archives. I only saw The Boiler Room and Boondox here, though there was a torrent (quite dead last time I checked) that had these other BBS archives.

And, Techx, if you're interested, you can d/l those files anywhere.. I'm getting them and I'm from the US. (Though, slowly, since I'm not a subscriber to rapidshare) Probably not going to find anything major that isn't elsewhere, like tosec, but cool to browse the listings and there's lots of little tid bits like text files, bbs intros, etc that were spread.

The listfiles are located inside the archives. Just extract them seperately.

Yea Rapidshare is `down` because some German agency (GEMA) have a temporary injunction against them. :-)

Superb, i have found in the boiler room collection The Leander fairlight crack
with the corresponding fix to apply !!!! Great ! It says that it's due to a disk
check not removed that the level 1-4 appeared !

Yes Dam, i will up it for you tonight, when coming back from work.
There are many fix for many games.... or trainer to apply like patches
with DMS. There is also a nice tool called Warp deluxe with can be used to
create disk image *.wrp (from protected games or not).
I think i will check and tidy the contents, there are many tosec versions which can be corrected :-)

I DL the Boiler Room BBS from RS without being a premium member
even if it was worthy enought to make a subscription for this good
archive.

What a pity that 3 tapes were lost.

I would like that other BBS would resurrect from the past with their
backups especially the German and the USA ones that were the
best.

Does anyone have a listing of the full 15 gb package once hosted by BuZz?

As the torrent tracker is down for good, it seems that the only thing downloadable left (thanks to RS) is the Boiler Room pack.
But ... this is a mere 1.8 GB...what's in the other ~13 GB then? :-)
